Pending a "yes" RSVP, your invitation will include a full day pass to the Texas Renaissance Festival on November 8th.
The wristband(s) included in your invitation is NOT your ticket. Tickets will be sent to you once you have confirmed that you can come. The wristband is to help the venue staff determine who can be let into the chapel, so please do your best to not lose or forget it.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The festival is HUGE. You will need to be seated at our venue at 12:30, so we've prepared a little timing cheat sheet for you so you can plan accordingly. These times are at a "distracted but brisk walking pace".
15 minutes: Parking to front gate
10 minutes: Through the front gate (there can be a line)
30-35 minutes: Gate to Chapel
Meaning, parking here at 11:30 is cutting it TIGHT. Traffic can get pretty sticky close to 10-11am, so I would get here as early as possible. Get some breakfast. Find the chapel before you have to be seated. Explore. Personally, I like to start with a brisket baked potato from booth 22 in England (followed by some very strong strawberry daiquiris), but the choice is yours!
You will arrive at the ceremony at 12:30. The ceremony will be at the Cathedral Chapel. Your invitation says "English Cathedral Chapel", but it's the same thing. Be sure to follow the map (feel free to screen shot it on the Ren Fest 101 tab) to know where you're going. There will be a Kingsguard there to make sure you are in the right place. Be sure to wear the Hudson Wedding wristband to show that you are part of our wedding. (On-lookers sometimes try to sneak in). Connor and his groomsmen will enter shortly after everyone is seated. Sit and enjoy the music!
I will arrive at the ceremony with Dad and the bridal party promptly at 1pm.
After the ceremony, we (Groom/Bridal Party and Immediate Family) will take some quick pictures and then head over to the reception hall at the Lady Rose Pavilion.
After that (about 3:15), the day is YOURS to enjoy! We will be distributing walkie talkies because cell reception at Ren Fest is brutal. Walkie talkies will be used to communicate in case anyone wants to meet up for dinner. This venue is large so please enjoy, frolic, be merry. Be sure to throw some tomatoes, watch a joust, and even stay for the fire works.
Check out the Ren Fest 101 tab to learn more about what to expect, wear, and do while at our favorite place.
